WHY MINDFULNESS?

Mindfulness is how the heart remembers its steadiness. Research shows it:

MINDFULNESS: WHAT IT'S NOT

Mindfulness is often misunderstood. Here’s what it’s not:

  • Not about stopping the mind, it’s learning to observe thoughts without being swept away.
  • Not just relaxation, while calm may follow, awareness is the heart of practice.
  • Not religious, though rooted in contemplative traditions, it meets you where you are.
  • Not positive thinking, all emotions are welcome.
  • Not a quick fix, it deepens through steady presence.
  • Not escape, it’s the courage to meet what is real.
  • Not always comfortable, facing what’s within takes tenderness and time.
  • Not therapy, though it beautifully complements professional care.
